On campers and stupidity . . .

Today had the most surreal experience on the road . . . The last 20 kilometers of todays road were a single carriage road with rather large unsurfaced parts on both sides. When having vehicules coming ahead i put myself friendly on the side to make it easier for them . . . A few kilometers further i got stuck behind a camper of some western tourists . When i saw the next car approaching i was rather suprised to see the camper not moving an inch. Making myself noticed in his rear view mirror i gently asked him to do a little effort in making way . . . He did as if he did notice . . . Next car same story . . . I got a little upset and hooked the horn giving him the crazy sign . . . I got even worse when next a mini van had to into the brakes hard not to collide with the camper . . . I thought i was loosing it . . . Au the end of the road the camper had to stop to pull up into the centre of town , i could not help myself to jump of the bike and make a little hasty walk to the camper . . . Knowing which language i had to speak by the licence plate i shouted to him whether the roads in Morocco only belonged to him and that that was the reason he always sticked to the middle of the road . . A bit shocked he replied : but this is a brand new camper, i don't want to wreck it going beside the road. And on top of it as a justification : their cars are old and wrecks anyhow . . . . I could not believe my ears . . . I guess i said some nasty words than and asked him to consider how much it takes for 'them' to afford a shabby car and what it would mean to them to loose their means of transportation because mister was not willing to get his camper dirty or scratched . . . I turned back to my bike and to my suprise i got a thumbs up from the driver behind me who was witness of the last crossing . . .
It shows once more that people forget to find a way to make it easy for each other . . .
Don't get me wrong i also have my opinion on how some Morocans treat their guests, but this example shows it goes both ways . . .

Happy travels
